Ayurveda Body Work
Abhyanga is a traditional Ayurvedic full body massage. Designed to be deeply relaxing and rejuvenating to mind and body. It is also beneficial to the nervous, circulatory, lymphatic and immune systems. Heated herbal oils are used according to your bio-elements or Doshas; Vata (air & ether), Pitta (fire & water), and Kapha (water & earth). Please note this is a friction based modality using a light touch with a generous amount of oil, great for hydrating your skin in the drying months.
*This traditionally includes breast tissue in the massage routine. This can be adapted at clients request.

Shirodhara is a beautiful way to take your mediation practice deeper. A stream of warm herbal oil flows over the forehead and onto the third eye. Shirodhara helps sooth the mind and allows space for stillness, letting the mind go deeper into concentration and clarity. This treatment can work directly with calming the nervous system, aiding with insomnia, stress, anxiety, and depression. This classic Ayurvedic therapy stimulates the “third-eye” and has a wonderful hydrating effect on the scalp and hair. The session is ended with a wringing of excess oil out of your hair followed by a gentle neck and scalp massage.
*Due to the amount of oil it is advantageous to bring a towel or scarf for your ride home. Recommended to shower a few hours after treatment.
Traditionally Svedana or Swedana is received after an Abhyanga massage. Relax into a Steamy Wonder tent placed on top of a massage table, where you will enjoy the moisturizing effects of an herbal steam. Clients lay inside tent while the scalp and face rest comfortably outside allowing the head never to over heat. Medicinal herbs are used to help relax the muscles and nurture the senses. This can be great for the respiratory system, especially in the winter months.
*Steam treatment is not recommended for those with high blood pressure and woman who are pregnant.
Ayurvedic Bliss Therapy is the perfect gift of self care. It is a combination of Abhyanga, Shirodhara, and Svedana. This trifecta creates the space to allow the mind, body and soul to connect in relaxation and purification. Starting with a 1 hour and a half of Abhyanga massage, followed by a half hour stream of Shirodhara, and ending with a 15 minute Svedana herbal steam. This divine flow can be very transformative helping with overall peace and wellness. I invite my Bliss Therapy clients to sit and meditate guided or alone for 15 minutes after these sessions. I hold this space to allow everyone their own moments to digest the process.
Although Ayurveda body work has been around for over 5,000 years, its recently gained in popularity in the United States. This is a great introduction to the experience. Your session includes 30mins Abhyanga/ gentel friction based heated oil massage and 30mins of Shirodhara oil streaming unto your the third eye located in the center of you forehead helping to dive deeper into meditation.

Massage Therapy
Traditional Swedish Massage is a classic. Designed to give relaxation with a gentle gliding flow of strokes working within the natural blood flow of the entire body. This modality can be extraordinary for the circulatory and nervous systems.
*A wonderful introduction to massage therapy.
Neuromuscular massage therapy (NMT) is focused on myofascial trigger point syndrome. Myofascial trigger points are typically a hyper-irritable spot in a taut band within the muscle or its attachment sites, caused by autonomic, motor or sensory dysfunction. Perpetuating factors, otherwise known as activities of daily life help to navigate what muscles are overworked or not used properly. With this assessment NMT allows for a thorough exacting method to address discomforts. Myofascial Pain Syndrome is a fancy way to describe muscle pain. It refers to pain and inflammation in the body's soft tissues.
This is the ultimate Deep Tissue Massage.
*Please note this is deep pinpointed work. This method is used to help aid with specific problems. Not typically described as a relaxation massage.
My approach to Myofascial massage is a gentle and sustained hands on approach to helping the fascia to elongate. Fascia is a complex weave of connective tissue beneath the skin that covers our surfaces including muscles and internal organs. Myofascial can be an extremely effective modality for restrictions in body, an aid to pain and restoration of range of motion.
Energy Work
Reiki is a Japanese alternative holistic energy modality that aids with stress reduction and relaxation. It is a technique used for energy healing. Hands are placed slightly above your body allowing for Reiki energy to flow through the practitioner to your body. Our bodies are intuitive and have the ability to disperse the energy where it is needed most, after all at on a base level we are all made of energy and just like anything else in life there are ebbs and flows. It is important to note Reiki can do no harm.
Meditation
Sometimes we need a little help getting into our meditation practice. Guided meditation gives you a place to start from and grow deeper into your own awareness. It's best to wear comfortable clothing to allow yourself to relax. Each session is custom to help with your own individual release of tensions. Positions for the practice vary based on clients needs.

Yoga
Yoga is a practice of moving the mind and body to become one. Through the pranayama (breath work) and asana practice (movement), it allows meditation to become deeper and fuller by sinking into yourself and hearing the voice within. Private yoga sessions are catered to each individual’s needs. Yoga is a practice, meaning that it grows as you grow.
A few physical benefits of a yoga practice include increased flexibility, increased muscle strength and tone, improved respiration, increased energy and vitality, helps maintain a balanced metabolism, better cardio circulatory health, improved athletic performance, and aids in injury prevention and healing. The mental benefits of yoga through meditation and breathing include improvements in mental well-being. A regular yoga practice gives the practitioner mental clarity and calmness, increased body awareness, relief from chronic stress patterns, and relaxes and centers the mind.

Ballet
Ballet classes will challenge you to move, go deeper into concentration and give you freedom of movement. Your time will be used to assess your level and build custom classes on the spot. Your private session will help you access ways to build your strength, fluidity of movement and poise through hard work and discipline. These classes are custom, so all levels are welcome.
Some attributes from your practice will include strength, cardio, endurance, coordination, flexibility, posture, more energy, improved cognitive development and maintenance.
*Please wear clothing that allows for stretching and free movement. Ballet shoes are recommended, but if they are not available, bring a thick pair of socks.
