“Quiet the mind, and the soul will speak.”
Meditation is a process about growing our awareness and gaining healthy perspective. It is a chance to quiet the mind and allow stillness. Giving yourself permission to turn off thoughts or feelings. There is no right or wrong way to meditate. The idea is to hold space for yourself whether it be prayer or quiet reflection. Mantras are a great way to start. One of my favorite mantras comes from the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Jr. “The time is always right to do what is right”. Mudras, or specific hand and facial gestures, done with intention can transform your practice. Pranayama is breath work. Guided breath deepens your meditation and allows the body to let go of unwanted stress and tension. Restorative asanas allow the body to gently sink into yoga postures using props to respect the body’s limits without straining.
In your time at Bindu + Body I invite you to hold space for yourself.
Sometimes we need a little help getting into our meditation practice. Guided meditation gives you a place to start from and grow deeper into your own awareness. It's best to wear comfortable clothing to allow yourself to relax. Each session is custom to help with your own individual release of tensions. Positions for the practice vary based on clients needs.
